Back in the Car!

Well, we left Living Springs yesterday, and became vagrant travellers once again. On our last night, our friends there threw a going away party for us, which was terrific. Any party where they serve Hokey Pokey ice cream has got to be rocking! (For those non-Kiwis, Hokey Pokey is creamy vanilla ice cream, with little balls of hard caramel candy in it - soo good!) We will definitely miss everyone we met there, but we know we'll keep in touch, and hopefully they'll visit our side of the world sometime soon!!!

After being blessed with a house to live in for a month, it's been an adjustment to living out of our trunk again! We already forgot to put the yogurt in the chilly bin, lost all of our dish towels, and spent 15 minutes trying to get our sleeping bag liner figured out. Oh well, a couple days, and we'll be professional campers once again.

Right now, we are in Kaikoura, an absolutely stunning town on the east coast of the South Island, a few hours north of Christchurch. Last night, we headed to the seal colony here, and enjoyed watching them bask in the sun and try to impress the tourists. Some of them clearly enjoyed having their pictures taken, striking one pose after another! It was great.

We have about 10 days travelling in the South Island, until we head to the North Island. This part of the South is famous for beautiful beaches, stunning coastlines and tons of sea kayaking, so we're looking forward to taking it all in! We'll post some pictures soon!

A few people asked for our address, and this is the next one we'll be at, as of Feb. 16th. We'll be there until the end of April, so lots of time to send cards, presents andTim Horton's Coffee for Dave :)

Even if it's not in the form of a package, we'd love to hear from you! It makes our day!

Nice to hear how things are going again with you guys. Think of you often. Miss having you around. We had a meeting at Next on Saturday morning and the flyer had your picture on it. Brought a tear to my eye. (Not really but it did make me miss you even more.) Paul has given me a bunch of the pictures from the shop building from last summer and, of course, Dave was a prominent figure throughout. I've been using them as my screen saver so I see you often. Love you guys...

p.s. your blog only lets people that have a blog account to leave a comment.. in other words you may limit those who don't want an account or just don't know how to signup. .. just thought I'd let you know incase you didn't do that purposely. . there is a clicker in the settings for that somewhere.

Hi Dave & Esther!

Sam & I are in Kingston, have been here a week visiting everyone and left Neil at home to clean the house! :)

I'll work at putting something to mail out to you soon - perhaps a snowglove from the Thousand Islands? hmmm... perhaps not. I'll keep thinking...

Take care of each other,
Anne-Marie & Sam (& Neil)xo
