Final Adventures

Well, as hard as it is to believe, we have only a few days left in New Zealand. Things have truly come full circle, as we are back in Auckland, staying at the same place we lived when we first arrived in October. It has been a bit surreal, and full of lots of moments of reflection and serious deja vu! We also said goodbye to our most recent travelling partner, Tim, this week. After living in cramped quarters with us for 3 weeks, he's headed off to hitchike around the country, before heading to Australia. We really enjoyed our time with him, full of lots of adventures and laughs!

In other big news, we sold our car!! Yeah!! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! Yesterday, we headed to the biggest car fair in the city. It was actually our first car-selling experience, because we gave away our van when we left Canada, so we were a little unsure of how it all worked. But, after putting on our biggest smiles and waiting around a bit, a father and daughter showed up, had a look at the car, took it for a little test drive, and decided to buy it! So, we left the car fair without a car, and once more became active supporters of the public transportation system. It was a bit sad to let Able go, as he really was our home for much of the past 8 months, but we realize that this chapter in our life is coming to an end, and we are mentally preparing ourselves as the next begins.

We plan to spend the rest of the week just chilling out, catching up on our emails and tying up lots of last details before we leave on Friday.
